What is online team building by Detectolic Games?

Detective Tolianchyk quests are an interactive team game where participants become investigators to solve a crime in real time. It’s a combination of a quest, a logic game, and social interaction, designed specifically for remote teams.

How many people can participate at the same time?

We scale the game to fit any request: from small teams (5–15 people) to large corporate events with 150+ participants. For bigger groups, we divide players into teams of 5–7 people so everyone can actively take part in the investigation.

What are the technical requirements?

No additional software or preparation is required. Access to the game platform is provided via a browser. You will only need:

A computer with a stable internet connection
A video conferencing app (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet)
A webcam and microphone for communication with colleagues

How long does the event last?

The standard duration of the detective game is up to 90 minutes. This includes:

Briefing (10 minutes): introduction to the rules and storyline
Active investigation (70 minutes): gathering evidence and teamwork
Finale and resolution (10 minutes): announcing winners and discussing results

Is this format suitable for new employees?

Yes, detective games are one of the best tools for onboarding new employees. Since the game is built on active interaction, new team members communicate with colleagues to solve tasks, helping to quickly break the ice in an informal atmosphere.

What languages are available?

Currently, we run games in Ukrainian and English. A bilingual format is also possible: the host conducts the general introduction in English, while some teams can use a Ukrainian-language game interface if needed.

Is a host required for the game?

Yes, each game is led by a professional host who manages the event end-to-end. They assist with technical aspects, guide teams if they get stuck, and maintain the atmosphere of a real detective investigation.

How does the game work?

Players join a group call
The host explains the rules and provides access to the game platform
Players move into breakout rooms and begin the investigation
At the end of the game, teams submit their answers in the system
The host reveals the full story and announces the winners
